Daughters of Rabi’ah
Rabi’ah al-Adawiyyah, one of the early Sufi saints, was said to be “veiled with the veil of sincerity, inflamed by love and longing, lost in union with God.” Join Maryam Whalen in a community of sisters to drink from Rabi’ah’s spirit, opening to our sacredness as women in the Way of Allah.
The class includes movement, breath, whirling and Dhikr to deepen faith and surrender. Drink from the depths of your souls, walk more and more deeply into Love, and discover the Truth of your essence. This is a class for women who have taken hand with Sidi, both beginners and long-time students. The class may also be appropriate for women who are students of Sufism.
For years Maryam has studied with Fawzia al-Rawi, Sidi’s daughter-in-law, both in Morocco and at her Zawiyah in Vienna. Maryam has received Sidi’s blessing to teach this work at the Farm of Peace.
